Our beginning...
New Horizons Trauma and Healing Counseling was born out of a deep passion for excellent therapy and care — not only for clients, but for therapists as well. Our founder envisioned a professional space that poured into both: a place where clients receive clinically excellent, trauma-informed care, and where clinicians are supported, strengthened, and valued.

Julie has long believed that meaningful therapy requires thorough training, ongoing professional development, and a deep commitment to clinical depth. New Horizons was created to uphold that standard — a shared professional environment that houses independent clinicians who value high-quality care and who have training in at least one form of trauma therapy. This allows clients to confidently seek trauma-informed counseling, among other specialties, knowing that excellence is intentional and thoughtfully cultivated.

The structure of New Horizons reflects a commitment to honoring both excellence and autonomy.Designed to allow clinicians to practice under their own LLC within a thoughtfully structured, shared professional environment, this model preserves each therapist’s identity and ownership. Billing remains under each clinician’s name, ensuring that the reputation they build continues to belong to them — both now and wherever their professional journey may lead.

From the moment clients walk through the door, the intention is that they feel welcomed, grounded, safe, and hopeful. The physical environment is not an afterthought. New Horizons recognizes that a calm and supportive setting can meaningfully contribute to a client’s overall experience of care. Every detail is designed with intentionality and respect for the therapeutic process.

Faith has played a significant role in this journey. New Horizons began with prayerful listening, obedience, and stepping forward in trust. Julie believes that God is faithful in guiding each step, and she remains committed to seeking His direction as long as New Horizons is entrusted to her care. To God be the glory.
